We are proud to tell you that the Alexa Stop! podcast, which we have been assisting to produce, will be broadcasted on Podcast Radio from 8am, Monday 8th June 2020, for an initial run of three weeks. Yes, that’s right, you can listen whilst eating your breakfast!
Podcast Radio is one of the newest additions to the London radio network. Their aim is to showcase the best podcasts to a much wider audience.
If you are in London or Surrey, you can listen to Podcast Radio via DAB radio. If you are not, you can download the Podcast Radio app or tune in here.
Alexa Stop podcast is an conversational and fun look at how technology is changing peoples lives for better and worse. Hosted by Jim Bowes and Robert Belgrave, each episode features a relaxed chat with someone who has made an impact. Whether that is Nick Earle discussing Hyperloop - a new revolutionary way to travel at high speeds - or Sam Coniff musing on lessons learnt from pirates and how to implement them into todays practices or Jo Loxton talking about how you should just give your idea a go. She did and it didn’t succeed but her story is something so inspiring to make you implement something today.
As a cycle fanatic, and a Brompton owner, my favourite episode is the one where we travelled to west London to meet Will Butler-Adams OBE who is the CEO of Brompton Bicycles.
We arrived at their factory and were met by Will who’s enthusiasm hits you at warp speed. Within moments of meeting him, we all had one of the new fancy electric powered bikes and went for a 10 minute ride around the roads. After we got our heart rates up, we went to visit the factory before sitting down to talk about how they went on the journey to create these electric bikes and the motives behind them. It’s a deeply engrossing interview and if you have 30 minutes of your time spare then do give it a listen.
Here are a few pictures I took on the day of the building, some bikes and the recording.
